I'm not very good at properly talking about myself, but I'm sick of having a poor self introduction page.

My name is Masumi, I'm 19 turning 20 on May 5th! (My birthday is easy to remember, as it's all 5!) I grew up wanting to study both music and art, and I was supposed to go to university for classical preformance and opera. My health tanked right before university, so I went in for visual art instead, opting for sequential arts. My health tanked again, leading me to be mostly bedridden so I couldn't go back to school. I'm a bit frail, so I can't go outside very often, I mostly mess around on my computer all day. I suppose that makes me a NEET, but I super wish I could be healthy enough to play music and dance again!!!
I adore art of all mediums. I love music, visual arts, writing, performance, language, etc.! My love for creativity made me start to become infatuated with the human experience and expression. Both of my parents were artists, both in bands and both creating lots of visual artwork. It's because of them that I am the way that I am today. I've been drawing as long as I can remember, and I picked up several instruments. The french horn, the mellophone, the violin, guitar, bass, I even taught myself piano! I sang, and I would come sing at my mother's band practices when I was small.
Even my other interests are all their fault! My mother had an extensive eroge collection, and my father collected very extreme films. My parents were kind of freaks, so I was doomed from the start (lol) a lot of very strange and obscene titles raised me, and this is the result...
People tend to describe me as a "murky purple." I'm an extremely shy person and social situations are very hard for me. My childhood was in a way that didn't allow for me to be close to many other people, and I never learned how to interact with others in a normal fashion as I spent a large majority of my life in hospitals and other institutions LOL I might do or say something strange, please forgive me. I get quite scared talking to new people, but I do really like to make friends I promise! Ah, I'm a bit of a freak though (as my friends love to tell me...) so you can take that as you will I suppose... If you don't mind that then I would love to chat with you about anything~!
Hmm... It's kind of hard to think about what to say. I naturally speak in third person, but it's seen as weird to do that in English, so... I'm super crazy in love with Maka Albarn (July 18th 2013), Paracelsus (March 3rd 2016), and Don Quijote (June 26th 2021.) I might start to ramble on about any of them if prompted to... So be aware of that.
